Flood Insurance Specialists to speak at Palo Town Meeting October 10

Des Moines, Iowa — Flood insurance specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (fema) National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) will make a presentation and take questions on the program on Saturday, October 10 at Palo, Iowa.

Ice Storm Aid to Maine Hits $5 Million
Portsmouth, N.H. — More than $5 million in federal disaster aid has been obligated to assist Maine communities following last December’s historic ice storm that affected millions across the region. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (fema) and the Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) are coordinating local recovery efforts.

Flood Aid to Maine Tops $1 Million
AUGUSTA, Maine — More than $1.2 million in federal aid has been disbursed to help communities recover from the flooding that devastated areas of Maine this summer.
