The week-long exercise, which will begin on November 16, will test the ability of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to respond to an emergency at the nuclear facility.

fema Approves $1.1 Million Grant For Charleston’s Memorial Hospital Flood-Proofing Project
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (fema) announced today the approval of a grant totaling more than $1.1 million to flood proof the Charleston Area medical Center (CAMC) health System’s Memorial Hospital. The project will mitigate the risk to Memorial Hospital from a major flood and will allow CAMC to continue providing emergency medical care without significant interruption in service.
